Links with St James' Church
St. James' is a Church of England voluntary aided school and has strong links with the local church of St James', which is situated very near to the school on Church Lane. The vicar, is now Father Terry Murnane and is a regular visitor to the school.
As a school, we worship in church as often as we can throughout the year, including Easter, Christmas, Harvest and at the end of the school year. The school community also supports the monthly 'Friday Church' activities. Members of our church support us in school, and church and school provide one another with mutual, prayerful support.
We believe that it is an important part of the children's development to play an active part in the life of the church. We welcome and appreciate the support of parents in doing this.
