Key Information
- Our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure you have a PE kit (white polo top/t-shirt, black pumps, black joggers/shorts/leggings) and all items are clearly labelled. PE kits can remain in school.
- Home reading books are changed every Monday. Please make sure your child brings their books to school everyday. Please listen to your child read a minimum of three times a week, and sign this in your child’s reading record.
- We visit our school library every Thursday. Please make sure that your child brings their library book and bag into school each Thursday to pick a new book from our wonderful selection of high-quality texts.
- Phonics (underpinned by Read, Write, Inc) and Maths (underpinned by White Rose Maths) are taught daily. RE (underpinned by Questful RE) is taught weekly.
- On Monday afternoons, Ms Byrne, Miss Ahmed and Mrs Begum will be in class.
- On Thursday afternoons, Miss Crilly, Miss Ahmed and Mrs Begum will be in class.
Learning Environment
Our indoor and outdoor learning environment evolves and adapts depending on our learning and the needs of the children. The provision is enhanced to reflect the children’s interests, age and stage of development, and their next steps, in addition to the focus topic.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic indoor and outdoor environment including the following areas of provision: sand, water, mark-making, maths, curiosity corner, home corner, small world, construction and a book nook. All of these areas support the children’s progression across the seven areas of the EYFS. The Characteristics of Effective Learning are weaved into the provision and the curriculum.
