This week in nursery we have been concentrating on our key skills of listening to others, taking turns and sharing with our friends, playing with others, being kind and helpful, tidying up and early mark making. We have worked in our key groups to explore the different areas of nursery and learn how to play and look after our toys. We have worked together in our play, building towers and houses in the construction area. In the small world area, we have been beginning to use our imagination to create our own environments. We have used our math’s skills when completing jigsaws, using our problem solving, shape recognition skills. We discussed and named the pictures on all of the jigsaws. In the role play house we made food for our friends, read stories together and looked after the baby. In our writing area we have concentrated on early mark making skills using a variety of media throughout the week with some of our older children moving on to practicing writing their own names. In our outdoor classroom we have focused on sharing the equipment and focusing on an activity and being friends.
