Nursery – Oliver’s fruit salad

In nursery we are reading Oliver’s fruit salad. We have been discussing all the different fruits that Oliver talks to his mum about and also the extra ones they see when they go shopping. The children have explored the wooden fruits and vegetables. We sorted out the fruits from the vegetables. Some are trickier to work out than others.

The children sorted the fruits by colour into the different coloured containers. They then used their problem-solving skills by finding different equipment around the setting to use as a knife. These ranged from a glue stick to a builders saw. The children made their own fruit salads.
